LUMIYA

I just realized that I never uploaded this here before. So lets fix that! What you're looking at here is the VERY FIRST drawing of Lumiya I did for FANDOM COMICS series "Dark Lady of the Sith", a one-shot story that explained the dark transition of Shira Brie from being a Rebel Alliance pilot to Vader's cybernetically-enhanced right hand. This was over 5 years ago. When I first saw her, I thought she was the strangest, most uniquely designed character I'd ever seen. Al Williamson's run on Star Wars in the 80s was legendary, but it was his successor's angular, streamlined style that I based my Lumiya off of.

As you can see, the final look of the book was a lot different than this but it was good enough here that I nearly made my editor fall out of his seat haha! I cannot begin to describe the gratitude I have for being discovered by the team and all the progress I made on my artistic journey thanks to what I learned from them, and I hope one day I'll be able to finish the series.
